Staff Responsibilities and Compensation
Counselors
- Attend Orientation June 7th.
- Work the full summer season -- June 16 through August 31.
- Oversee cabin group.
- Arrive early to meeting places.
- Assist specialists with assigned activities.
- Participate with enthusiasm and dress up for special events.
- Dress Code: wear a clean Pali Adventures shirt, be clean-shaven, do not wear reflective sunglasses, no excessive jewelry, no body piercings, no visible tattoos , accepted haircut/color, i.e. conservative professional attire and style.
- Keep all camp areas clean and neat.
- Smoking and illegal drug use is prohibited.
- You will be drug-tested at least two times during the summer.
In addition to counselor duties:
- Organize and lead assigned camp programs.
- Supervise camp staff.
- Keep all of your campers and staff and happy.
- Make sure all staff participate in activities and follow rules.
- Assist camp director as needed.
Compensation:
- Wages range from $1,980 and up, depending on experience.
- Wages are payable upon completion of summer contract.
- If summer contract is terminated early, 75% of weekly salary will be paid for time worked.
- During your employment with Pali Adventures, room and board will be provided.
- Time Off will be rotating nights off and one weekend per three-week session.

- I can promise to abide by the following rules and requirements of employment at Pali Adventures:
I will attend orientation on June 7th, 2002
I will work a full summer season, until August 31, 2002
I will be physically and psychologically capable of supervising a cabin of 8-10 children
I will be on time for any scheduled activities
I will take a drug test at least twice during the summer
I will participate with enthusiasm and dress up for events
I will help out in all areas of camp whenever needed
- I can truthfully attest to the following:
I do not have visible tattoos or other permanent body art
I do not have piercings
I do not smoke
- Any material misrepresentation or deliberate omission of a fact in my application may be justification for refusal of, or if employed, termination from employment.
- It is my understanding that Pali Camp will make a thorough investigation of my entire work history and may verify all data given in my application for employment, related papers, or oral interviews. I authorize such investigation and the giving and receiving of any information requested by Pali Camp and I release from liability any person giving or receiving any such information. I understand that falsification of data so given or other derogatory information discovered as a result of this investigation may prevent my being hired, or if hired, may subject me to dismissal.
- I agree that this company may terminate my employment at any time without liability for wages or salary except such as may have been earned at the date of such termination. I understand that if terminated prior to completion of summer contract, room & board privileges are immediately revoked and rent will be charged at the rate of $100 per day. If requested by the management at any time, I agree to submit to search of my person or of any locker that may be assigned to me, and I hereby waive all claims for damages on account of such examination. I authorize any physician or hospital to release any information which may be necessary to determine my ability to perform the duties of a job I am being considered for prior to employment or in the future during my employment with Pali Camp. I consent to take a medical examination by a qualified physician at the discretion of my employer.
- Although management makes every effort to accommodate individual preferences, business needs may at times make the following conditions mandatory: overtime, shift work, rotating work schedule, or a work schedule other than Monday through Friday. I understand and accept these as conditions of my continuing employment.
- Pali Camp has my permission to obtain emergency medical treatment for me.
- Pali Camp has my permission to use photographs of me without additional compensation for use in brochures, web sites, marketing, advertising or other promotions, without limitation, and at any time in the future.
- I understand that if I am employed, such employment is for no definite period of time and that Pali Camp can change these employment conditions at any time.
- I have read the Staff Responsibilities and Compensation and fully understand and agree to abide by it if hired.
- I further understand that this is an application for employment and that no employment contract is being offered.
