DGS Creates Book Promotion Website for CA Publisher

July, 2000, Los Angeles. Financial Publisher Wilshire Publishing retains DGS to build a website for their newest book release, assigns future site design services.

Hiding Your Money siteTo publicize the availability of a new book by Canadian financial author Jerome Schneider, Wilshire Publishing contracted with Desktop Graphic Services (DGS) and Kent Komae Direct Response to create and provide content for the splash publicity announcement, as well as to provide an online sales presence for the growing Southern California publisher.

Working on a small budget and a tight timeframe (less than two weeks to launch), Wilshire Marketing Director Jaqui Hofman worked with Eric Oxenberg and copywriter Kent Komae on the graphic look of the site, it’s internal navigation, and the promotional and teaser copy which would drive purchases.

From creating new logo and branding identities for the fledgeling site to suggesting copy strategies and navigation for the web newcomers, DGS provided creative and production services, including site hosting and e-commerce, that provided just the stylistic fit for the publisher’s product launch.

The result? At launch, the site immediately attracted financial readers, many of whom purchased online through the site’s secure order pages. Wilshire Publishing is pleased enough that they have contracted DGS to do a complete redesign of their flagship website, to be completed after September, 2000.
