DGS Creates Kids’ Adventure Web Sites In Record Time
February, 1999, Los Angeles. Desktop Graphic Services tapped to produce multimedia website for upscale childrens’ summer camp company.
Just in time for the annual spring campr promotion season, PaliCamps, Inc. called upon DGS Principal Eric Oxenberg to take over web design duties for their two related businesses: Pali Camps, devoted to day-campers aged from 3 to 13 years, and Pali Adventures, for more advanced children and teens from 11 to 18 years old.
Pushing the edge of web content delivery, DGS programmed the Paliadventures.com and Palicamp.com sites with the latest tricks, including java rollovers, animated GIFs, CGI sign-up forms, and autoloading MIDI sound.
With fun graphic treatments on each page, the Pali Adventures site was ready-made for restless teens looking for summer fun.
Additionally, the two sites were produced at breakneck speed, most production being finished within two weeks of project start, an enviable accomplishment for any design firm.
Result: Almost immediately, the sites began returning queries from interested parents, furninshing from 6 to 10 qualified leads almost from the first day. Prospects love the site and Pali Camps loves the added attention the site brings to their business.
