There are 140 recognized breeds by the American Kennel Club. There are over 400 recognized breeds in the world. I Love Dogs Expo 2003 had over 30 breeds represented. At our next show, we plan to have over 100. Visit us again a couple of weeks before showtime to see a full listing.

Breed club members are dog fanciers who have a tremendous affinity for dog sports and for their animals. Dog clubs are non-profit organizations that are recognized by the registering body with which their dogs are registered. The most popular of these registering organizations are the American Kennel Club (AKC), the United Kennel Club (UKC), and the American Rare Breed Association (ARBA). Every breed has their own national club. Regional clubs are formed throughout the country. Some dog fanciers choose to take on the demanding task of breeding. As members of these clubs, breeders must abide by a stringent code of ethics which are often posted on each club's website. Responsible breeders are those who take steps to improve their breed in health, form and temperament.
Members of dog clubs, both dog fanciers and breeders alike, are bound by their constitutional by laws to find ways to improve the breed through philanthropic means. In addition to supporting breed specific rescue groups, most clubs fulfill this mission by participating at events where they are able to educate those interested in their breed on responsible dog ownership. The I Love Dogs Expo is just such an event.
We are proud to be chosen by those clubs who exhibit at our show, as one of the few venues a year wherein they give their time to bring greater awareness to their breed and the rewarding lifestyle of participating in dog sporting events.
