Many consumers with good intentions often fall short in their attempts to find a quality purebred puppy or dog. Even worse, many consumers are not fully aware of the inherent characteristics of a given breed, which can lead to an unsatisfying ownership experience. I LOVE DOGS EXPO (ILDE) demystifies the process for consumers by bringing the best breeders and rescue organizations in the Southwest together under one roof.

ILDE is a safe, discreet place for breeders and rescues to meet prospective puppy or dog owners that have already taken interest in their stock, or begin the evaluation process with new interested parties. Breed Clubs and Breeders may follow up with these contacts after the Show, but are not allowed to sell or place dogs at the Expo. Government shelters that do not have the staff to conduct home visits and therefore, do not require home visits as part of their placement policy are excepted.

The wealth of knowledge available from experienced breeders and proven single breed rescues is one of the greatest resources for a new dog owner. The event’s theme of responsible pet care is clearly demonstrated by seminars presented by by notable trainers, nutritionists, groomers and animal communicators on both Saturdays and Sundays on topics such as training, how to choose a quality dog or puppy, grooming and health.

The experience of I LOVE DOGS EXPO is intended to inspire any visitor to contact their breeder or rescue, and return to ILDE for their important dog needs.

Breeders must show proof of membership to a recognized Dog Club. We find that the missions and policies of many of these clubs promote the most progressive breeding programs in the nation. A breeder must be in good standing with the organization in which they register their dogs. Such proof of membership can be a copy of a club membership, a copy of the club roster, or a club website address wherein their name is posted. You will be expected to present this proof upon check-in to the Expo hall.

ILDE abides by, and asks participating breeders to abide by a Code of Ethics similar to that of each dog club. Educational seminars and training referrals support the collective goal of breeders and rescues of successful pet ownership. ILDE policies are more stringent and ethical than any other venue where dogs are exhibited.

Exhibitor space for a 10’X 10’booth is $100.

A rebate of $50.00 is given to the breeder or breed club for keeping their booth staffed with knowledgeable people during show hours and keeping their dogs presentable. A booth must be staffed at all times. We encourage breeders to share booth space or invite their club to exhibit. Please be mindful of overcrowding. If you require an extra booth, we can accommodate that need for an additional $75. RV parking spaces with power and water hook-ups can be reserved for $35 a night, and are subject to availability.

We believe firmly in the value of exhibiting both younger dogs and more mature dogs. The contrast of maturity and level of obedience will illustrate the importance of training. A rebate of $25.00 is given to the breeder or breed club for each dog under 1 year of age attending the Expo not to exceed the total booth fee. Dogs must be at least 4 months of age to attend the Expo. Submission of registration papers (birth certificate) is required at the Expo to receive this rebate. Checks and credit card charges will not be processed until we have determined that there is payment due following the Expo. Please bring the pedigrees of the younger dogs to illustrate the planning and knowledge necessary to accomplish the breeding with the preferred results. Pups can tire easily and we ask that you rotate the young ones to prevent exhaustion.

Exhibiting Breed Clubs, Breeders and Rescue Groups will be intermingled with other exhibitors within the Building(s). Aisles will have either Rescue Groups or Breeder and Breed Clubs, and will not intermix the two.

Each booth space includes the following:

  • Up to 6 badges per 10’ X 10’ booth
  • 2 vehicle passes during load-in
  • 4 free admission tickets per 10’ X 10’ booth
  • Microchip services for a nominal fee
  • Complementary seminars
  • Access to a common grooming area with a washtub

Exhibiting Breed Clubs, Breeders and Rescue Groups will be intermingled with other exhibitors within Building 12 and in the Parade of Products.
